Throughout the 20th Century Barnsley was home to many amateur and professional filmmakers. In the early 1990's a video 'Bygone Barnsley' was released featuring many of these archive films.

The video has now been digitally re mastered and compiled onto a single DVD with an interactive menu to allow users to access the many different clips. The DVD includes over 55 mins of film showing the Barnsley our grandparents knew. In addition a further video 'Bygone Britain' has been included on the DVD, making the total running time to approximately two hours of nostalgic video.
