Compiled from a unique and extensive collection of film footage from the Lincolnshire Archives dating back to 1932, this programme gives a fascinating insight into the Lincoln of a Bygone era. Among the pre-war highlights are a visit by the Queen Mother when she was Duchess of York and the celebrations of King George V's Silver Jubilee in 1935. 1960's material includes city centre scenes, a visit to the Lincolnshire show and the Grimsby fish lorry that crashed into the Roman Newport Arch. Further highlights from other collections include Flying Scotsman's visit to Lincoln in 1969 and footage of the Lincoln team who represented the United Kingdom in the Jeux Sans Frontieres contest in 1972. Programme is produced and narrated by Andrew Blow.
